Made me reflect on how I respond to students' incorrect responses.
I'm not sure that I'm the best at responding in the moment very thoughtfully to misconceptions unless I can "see" where they are coming from. It takes a bit of time to analyze work to see where students are coming from.
One thing I'm finding recently is that my students have trouble coming up with numbers between two integers. What is a number is in-between 5 and 6 and is closer to 6 than 5? I often get students immediately saying "Six point..."
